Recently, our Scottsburg, Indiana community had the privilege of celebrating a beautiful milestone—Mildred, lovingly known as Nana, turned 99 years young!

The celebration was nothing short of magical. With 15 neighbors and Nana’s family coming together, the community room was filled with warmth and joy. Neighbors exchanged stories, shared laughter, and joined in honoring a life well-lived.

In a fun turn of events, our property manager reached out to the local newspaper, which sent Aaron, a reporter, to capture the moment. Aaron not only snapped photos and chatted with Nana but also sang "What a Wonderful World" just for her. It was a highlight that brought smiles—and maybe a few happy tears—to everyone in the room.

At Graceworks, we believe in fostering communities where individuals are surrounded by care, love, and a sense of belonging. Nana’s birthday wasn’t just a celebration of her 99 years; it was a celebration of the St. James community coming together as family.

To Nana, we say thank you for inspiring us with your joy, kindness, and wisdom. And to everyone who joined, thank you for reminding us what true community looks like. Here’s to many more wonderful memories!
