At Messiah Community, we are incredibly fortunate to have Lisa Ebert as our dedicated and passionate service coordinator. Lisa consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that each member of our community feels supported, valued, and secure. Her unwavering dedication to serving others is evident in everything she does.

Recently, Lisa took extraordinary steps to help a formerly homeless community member who had just moved into Messiah Community. Thanks to her efforts in securing a grant from the Champaign County Memorial Foundation, Lisa was able to furnish his apartment with over $3,000 worth of essential items, transforming it from an empty space into a comfortable, fully furnished home. From a bed and a couch to kitchen utensils and a microwave, Lisa made sure that this new community member had everything he needed to begin his new life with dignity and security.
Lisa’s care for our community is neverending. In July, she also coordinated a generous donation from the local hospital and Urbana’s Caring Kitchen, ensuring that every member of the Messiah Community received a grocery bag filled with household essentials. Each of the 37 members received necessary household items like toilet paper, body wash, toothpaste, and a Kroger gift card. Through Lisa’s hard work and coordination, these gifts not only met practical needs but also brought comfort and a sense of being valued.

Lisa’s dedication embodies the true spirit of service. She has an unwavering commitment to fostering a supportive, faithful environment where every individual is treated with care and respect. Her passion for helping others creates a sense of community and belonging that makes Messiah Community a special place to live.
