More Than Cake: A Community Built on Kindness

When kindness and collaboration extend beyond our doors, we are reminded how far kindness can go. Graceworks Housing Services is honored to be part of a giving and supportive community in Scottsburg, Indiana.  

A heartwarming partnership with the local Walmart started with a simple request —a small birthday cake to help celebrate the monthly birthday parties that take place at St. James Community. Not only did Walmart agree to donate cakes, but every month since, they’ve gone above and beyond to provide a full, beautifully decorated cake with a thoughtful touch. Whether it’s a design featuring flowers, balloons, or a nod to a seasonal holiday, these cakes bring delight and enjoyment to our community. Their generosity reminds us how impactful small acts of kindness can be in fostering connections and spreading happiness.

We’re grateful for the continued support of our local Walmart team and their willingness to help us make every birthday celebration special. This partnership is a sweet reminder of the power of community and the incredible generosity that surrounds us.
