For the last three decades, the Vista dining experience has been warmer, brighter, and friendlier thanks to the smiles, hard work, and dedication of two remarkable team members who are saying good bye to Vista and hello to retirement.

Greg “Sugar” Smith has dedicated 33 years to Vista Place Dining Services. Known for his positivity and dependability, whether stepping in as a cook, serving during busy times, or handling his regular duties with care, Greg was always ready to help wherever he was needed. Sugar’s warmth and commitment have left an indelible mark.
In his retirement era, Sugar plans to be spending his time cheering for his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers and caring for his father.
Wilbur “Rocky” Newsome is retiring after

29 years of service. Known for his kindness and dedication, Rocky’s presence in the Vista Dining team has brought an undeniable sense of camaraderie to both his colleagues and those he served. Retirement will bring new opportunities for Rocky to enjoy time with his family, including his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Greg and Rocky’s contributions over the years have enriched the overall community in countless ways. Their dedication, teamwork, and friendly smiles have left a lasting legacy that will be remembered fondly by all who knew them.
To Greg and Rocky: Thank you for your many years of service, your care for others, and the countless ways you’ve made a difference. Wishing you both happiness and fulfillment in this well-deserved next chapter of life. You will always be a cherished part of the Vista Place team.
